The pi is running a flaschen-taschen server, a project based on the rpi-rgb-led-matrix library by the same author. Lots of zip ties (I don't own a 3d printer and the mount print I ordered from Treatstock had the wrong thread size, so I drilled through and adapted) Power supply for your version raspberry pi (unnecessary if you power via bonnet only like me, but still good to have) pi 4 is probably fine but I saw warnings against it) Raspberry pi 3b+ (pulls under 1A under max load, so I can power it via one power cable into the bonnet. Here is the backside so you can see the pi mounted.Īdafruit 64圆4 rgb led matrix (2.5mm pitch)Īdafruit matrix bonnet (modded for pwm and address E line to support a 64圆4 matrix) I did my best to capture it in the photos but it looks even better in person. While thinking of fun uses for a pi/matrix combination, I wrote a powershell script and hook for the monstercat visualizer rainmeter skin (available on GitHub) to send my now playing album artwork over to the pi for display.
